Can you believe that Miss Minnie Mouse has been a fashion icon for 90 years! Its only right that we celebrate her and all her glory on a day that was surly made for her. Want to take a guess which day that is? Well of course its National Polka Dot Day!
Each year Rock the Dots has become bigger and bigger. Its a celebration that recognizes this iconic fashionista for her timeless look!
This year for National Polka Dot day I got to rock my dots at the Mickey True Original Exhibition in New York City. I was so excited to be back once again roaming the exhibit but this time to celebrate 90 fabulous years of Minnie magic!
The exhibition held a special event in her honor. It was a night filled with dancing, Minnie inspired food and drinks, some new art work and of course the queen herself was in attendance. I wanted to give you all a closer look at a night I will never forget!
The exhibition welcomed us in around 7:00 p.m and greeted us at the door with a goodie bag and cocktail! We got to walk freely around the exhibit the entire night. If you'd like to see more pictures about the art work from the exhibit then check out my Mickey The True Original Blog.
At the Exhibit they showed off some new artwork by Alake Shilling. I got a chance to talk with Alake and she was the cutest and sweetest person ever! She created this wonderful Minnie Mouse inspired piece. It was nice to finally see Minnie represented in the exhibit. Check out my story highlights on Instagram for a fun Q & A with Alake!
During the event they also had so many brands showing off their newest Minnie inspired food and merch. Pressed Juicery was there giving out their two newest juices. Gigi Burris had a table with her styling minnie accessories. Other brands like Sugarfina had tables as well!
Finally, the queen herself made a special appearance and took a ton of pictures, boomerangs and videos with all her guest. This night really was a night to remember. @MinnieStyle really knows how to through an awesome party!
You can still get tickets to the Mickey true Original Exhibition while its still around, but act fast its only here until February 10th!
