This past weekend I had the pleasure of partnering with the Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive and let me tell you it was an amazing way to start my vacation!
The Wyndham Orlando is a family fun and affordable resort that puts you right in the heart of Orlando. When you stay at the Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive you are minutes away from Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort, and Sea World as well as some of the top dining locations Orlando has to offer.
Thank you so much to the Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive for hosting us!
All opinions are 100% my own!
Let's Talk Location
Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive is 22-acres of beautiful tropical grounds. When you come onto the property you forget about the busy bustling streets and walk into a paradise. The resort is filled with pools, lagoons and walking paths to get lost on.
The larger of the two pools were our favorite! It was just a 2-minute walk from our room. Located adjacent from the main pool is Gatorland Poolside Bar & Grill is a gorgeous open-air bar and restaurant offering everything from piña coladas to delicious bar-food favorites. There is a ton of seating around the pool, both lounge chairs and tables were available. The tables were spaces six feet apart from one another as well as pool chairs.
One point I would like to touch on is if you do not have a car you will need to Uber to your destinations. On the website it says they offer transportation to Sea World and Universal Orlando but the front desk informed me that the bus services were not running. So that was a slight bummer, luckily being minutes away the Ubers and Lyft's didn't exceed $10.
The Room
When I first walked into my room I was in absolute shock at how spacious the suite was. This is a Junior Executive Suite and is built for those wanting extra space to stay and play. Our suite had two different doors to enter from, one was a double door area in the front of the suite and the another was towards the back. When you walk in through the double doors you'll see a large double slider closet with a top shelf and hangers for your clothes. Directly across from the closet is a wet bar equipped with a sink, coffee maker and mini fridge and cabinet for snack storage.
When you continue into the suite you'll find the sitting area which came with a couch and two swivel chairs. There was also a flat screen TV with and extra speaker system which made for a great movie night! For extra storage there was a dresser with lots of space to store your clothes. The room also had a desk and chair incase you needed to sit and work.
A big king size bed sat in the back with the comfiest pillows imaginable. Normally hotel beds feel tiny for my fiance and I. He is 6'8 and typically takes up most of a hotel bed, for once we didn't feel this way!
The bathroom was modern and sleek. Wyndham provided plenty of towels and bathroom necessities like soaps, shampoos even a cute shower cap! Across from the bathroom there was another closet which had the ironing board, iron and extra pillows.
In our suite we had a double balcony that looked over the hotel entrance. Our room was located right next to a mini lagoon and a two minute walk from the main lobby, pool and wellness center.

Social Distancing
I felt completely comfortable and safe during the duration of my stay at the Wyndham Resort. From the moment you step into the lobby you will see the guidelines and health measurements they Wyndham has taken to ensure guest safety. They had clear markers on the floors to note what a safe six foot distance would be when checking in as well as plexiglass between the employees and guests. All staff wore their masks as well.
At the pool and common areas tables and chairs were set six feet apart from one another and tables were marked properly.
Why You Should Pick Wyndham For Your Next Stay
I truly enjoyed my stay at the Wyndham it was refreshing to be so close to so many of my favorite theme parks. Not only is it family friendly its affordable! You cant find many hotels in this area that are SO close to the theme parks for a decent price.
The staff was attentive and always helpful with all needs and the rooms were kept clean. I highly recommend even if its for a staycation you spend some time at this resort. We felt like we had the whole resort to ourselves at times and that was a fantastic feeling!
Being seconds away from so many dining locations was also so important to me. It was refreshing to have so many options just a short walk away. We were able to get breakfast and a dinner if we choose not to eat in the parks. Im sure you know park meals can become expensive so its nice to save money where you can!
